Are you required to have a vacuum breaker for your shampoo bowls?
Find out by talking to your plumbing contractor.
If you are required by your local plumbing codes to have vacuum breakers, it is possible to satisfy that requirement two ways:
1. Have your plumber install a back flow preventer system in the central plumbing line to service all the bowls.
2. Upgrade (E150.00 each) the standard Italian water fixture to an American fixture with a built in vacuum breaker. This will put a vacuum breaker on each bowl. This fixture is certified for use in Wisconsin (a state with very stringent plumbing codes).
